The Layout [1,296 Unit, in 8 Building]

The complex was developed in 1972 as apartments and renovated into Condos in 1984.  Being one of the largest Condo Conversions in California, it sports three swimming pools, a spa, 5 tennis courts, a clubhouse with workout room and pool tables and acres of beautifully kept lawns, wooded areas, bubbling creeks and walkways.  What impresses peoples most about the complex is the many quiet reflective planted areas.  Some have compared it to an urban park.  [Some Images of Shelter Creek]

This web site provides an interactive Unit Finder for those interested in Buying, Renting, or just looking for a Room Mate. The Unit finder requires that you have the free Java plug-in from Sun Computer. If you don't have the Java plug-in, you can view the same information from a Table.

Utilities

The Complex gets it water from San Bruno Water District which in turn gets its water from the High Sierra Hetch Hetchy Reservoir in Yosemite National Park   Water quality is excellent.  Water, hot and cold, is provided without meters and is included in Association fees. Each building has two trash rooms, and pickups are done four time a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday by NORCAL Waste Systems.  The Association contracts for a 24/7/365 Command Security Service to provide around the clock security.   Landscaping is contracted to Gachina Landscaping Management. Electricity is provided by PG&E, but is sub metered by the complex, with each unit owning the meter.  There is a project underway to upgrade the meters to a wireless remote reading system.  It is anticipated that this will cost each unit around $300.

Cable TV

The Complex has access to two cable companies.  The city owned San Bruno Cable is capable of carrying 78 analog channels plus over 200 digital cable channels along with two way data communication.  High speed Internet access is also offered.   Eight Years ago, the complex allowed a satellite cable service to install a second service on the roofs of each building and make it available to any unit. That company is now owned by  DirectTV
